PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SNOWBALL THROWING PADA MATA PELAJARAN TEKNIK DASAR OTOMOTIF (TDO) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA DI KELAS X SMK NEGERI 1 LABANG

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan hasil pengamatan pada situasi kelas saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung, bahwa guru yang berada di SMKN 1 Labang terutama pada mata pelajaran teknik dasar otomotif masih menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional dalam menyampaikan materi pembelajaran sehingga pembelajaran terpusat pada guru. Hal ini menyebabkan aktivitas di dalam kelas kurang maksimal sehingga siswa cenderung tidak memahami apa yang disampaikan oleh guru. Dengan kondisi seperti ini, maka perlu dilakukan penerapan model pembelajaran yang inovatif yang dapat meningkatkan partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Snowball Throwing. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X TKR 1 SMK Negeri 1 Labang Madura semester genap 2017-2018 dan objek model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing. Variabel-variabel penelitian adalah hasil belajar siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, observasi, dan angket yang diaplikasikan dalam bentuk instrumen penelitian. Hasil penelitian yaitu meningkatkan hasi belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 64%, siklus II 76%.

This research was conducted based on observations on class situations during the learning process, that teachers in SMK 1 Labang especially in basic automotive engineering subjects still use conventional learning models in delivering learning material so that learning is teacher-centered. This causes the activity in the classroom to be less than optimal so that students tend not to understand what is conveyed by the teacher. With conditions like this, it is necessary to implement an innovative learning model that can increase student participation in learning. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in the teaching and learning process after the Snowball Throwing type cooperative learning model was applied. This type of research is classroom action research. The research subjects were class X TKR 1 SMK Negeri 1 Labang Madura even semester 2017-2018 and objects Snowball Throwing learning model. Research variables are student learning outcomes. Data collection techniques used were tests, observations, and questionnaires that were applied in the form of research instruments. The results of the study are increasing Student learning outcomes in the first cycle were 64%, second cycle 76%.
