THE INFLUENCE OF ADOBE FLASH AS LEARNING MEDIA ON BASIC CNC LATHE MACHINE PROGRAMMING SKILLS OF CLASS XI SEMEN GRESIK VOCATIONAL SCHOOL

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this work is to find out the influence of Adobe Flash as a learning media on basic Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) lathe programming skills, as well as knowing its influence on student learning motivation. This study uses John’s Elliot’s model of Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of four stages, planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Each stage is carried out in two phases namely Phase I and Phase II. The subjects of this study were the XI TPM Semen Gresik Vocational School class that consist of 29 students. Instruments in the form of formative tests and questionnaires were chosen with a purpose of knowing the influence provided by adobe flash as a learning media, which resulted in increased of learning results by 18.8. Obtained from an average pretest score of 67.6 and an average posttest score of 86.4. As well as obtaining student learning motivation which was categorized as "Very High" at 87.4% after using adobe flash as learning media.
