PENERAPAN METODE PEMBELAJARAN DEMONSTRASI PADA SUB KOMPETENSI PENGGUNAAN JANGKA SORONG SISWA KELAS X JURUSAN TEKNIK PEMESINAN DI SMK TAMANSISWA MOJOKERTO

Abstract

ABSTRAK
Salah satu penyebab ketuntasan belajar siswa di bawah standar adalah kurang tepatnya penggunaan
metode pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan materi pelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui
bagaimana hasil belajar siswa dan ketuntasan belajar siswa jika diterapkan metode pembelajaran
demonstrasi serta bagaimana respon siswa terhadap metode pembelajaran demonstrasi pada mata diklat
014 KK 2 (alat ukur) sub kompetensi penggunaan alat ukur jangka sorong.
Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah siswa
kelas X Jurusan Teknik Pemesinan SMK Tamansiswa Kota Mojokerto yang mengikuti mata diklat 014
KK 2 (alat ukur) pada semester gasal 2012/2013. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan melalui teknik random
sampling, dan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 40 siswa. Metode pengumpulan
data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diantaranya: metode tes, angket, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.
Metode analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif kualitatif, dan teknik analisis
data yang digunakan meliputi: analisis hasil belajar dan analisis angket respon siswa.
Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pada hasil belajar
rata-rata kelas siswa di setiap siklus, pada siklus I mencapai 75,32, kemudian pada siklus II mencapai 79,
dan pada siklus III mencapai 82,37. Ketuntasan belajar klasikal siswa setelah diterapkannya metode
pembelajaran demonstrasi juga meningkat, yaitu dari siklus I sebanyak 32 siswa (80%), siklus II
sebanyak 33 siswa (82,5%), dan siklus III sebanyak 38 siswa (95%). Hasil angket respon siswa pada
pernyataan positif, nilai persentase rata-rata mencapai 44%, dan pada pernyataan negatif, nilai persentase
rata-rata mencapai 56%, sehingga hasil persentase rata-rata dari dua jenis pernyataan tersebut adalah
50%. Dari hasil di atas dapat dikategorikan bahwa respon siswa tergolong cukup baik.

ABSTRACT
One cause of low mastery learning students are below the standard classical completeness is less precise
application of the use of learning methods to suit the material being taught. This study aims to determine
how the student learning outcomes and student mastery, and knowing how of student respond if the
demonstrations learning methods applied to the training at KK 2 014 (measuring instrument) sub
competency using calipers.
Type of research is a classroom action research. Objectives of this research is a class X student of
Machining Department SMK Tamansiswa Mojokerto that follow KK 014 2 (measuring instrument)
training at odd semester of 2012/2013. This research using a randon sampling technique and the sample
that used in this research are 40 students. There are several methods of data collection used in this study,
including: test methods, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The method of data analysis done
by quantitative descriptive qualitative data analysis, and data analysis techniques used include: analysis of
test results, and analysis of students' questionnaire responses.
Based on the results of data analysis it can be concluded that an increase in average learning result of
students, in cycle I were 75,32, in cycle II were 79, then in cycle III were 82,37. The mastery learning
students after the implementation of the demonstration learning methods also increased, namely from the
first cycle were 32 students (80%), second cycle as many as 33 students (82.5%), and the third cycle were
38 students (95%). The results of student questionnaire responses on the positive statements, the
percentage of students who answered strongly agree reached an average of 45%, and the negative
statements, the percentage of students who answered strongly disagree reached an average of 56%, so the
average percentage from two statements is 50%. From the following result can be concluded that students'
response is quite good.
