Skripsi ini merupakan laporan penelitian mengenai deskripsi bentuk, makna dan fungsi gaya bahasa retoris yang terdapat dalam buku ??????????? yang didalamnya berisi kumpuan artikel mahasiswa asing. Penelitiian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan mendiskripsikan kalimat-kalimat yang mengandung gaya bahasa retoris dengan sumber data 28 artikel terpilih yang pemilihan tersebut menggunakan teknik sampel kuota. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) bentuk gaya bahasa retoris dalam buku ???????????terdiri dari lima majas dalam gaya bahasa retoris, yaitu asidenton, elipsis, perfrasis, erotetis, dan hiperbol (2) makna dalam gaya bahasa retoris yang ditemukan memiliki dua makna, yaitu denotatif dan konotatif (3) fungsi yang terdapat dalam kalimat yang mengandung gaya retoris tersebut mengandung empat fungsi, yaitu meninggikan selera, mempengaruhi atau meyakinkan pembaca, menciptakan keadaan perasaan hati tertentu, dan memperkuat efek terhadap gagasan.

Abstract

This Thesis report about the shape of figure of speech, meaning, and function from the book "?????????" contains a collection of
articles written by foreign students from various countries who seek knowledge in China. This study used descriptive qualitative method by describing
sentences containing rhetorical style language with the data source that the selection of 28 articles selected using quota sampling technique.
The results showed that ( 1 ) the form of rhetorical style in the book "?????????" consists of five rhetorical figure of speech in
the style of language , there are asyndeton , ellipsis , prefaces , eroticism , and hyperbole ( 2 ) the meaning of the rhetorical style that was found to have
two meanings , there are denotative and connotative ( 3 ) the functions contained in the sentence containing the rhetorical style contains four functions ,
there are exalt tastes , influence or convince the reader , creating a certain mood feeling state , and amplifying the effects of the idea.Keywords:Rhetorical style, form of rhetorical style, meaning of rhetorical style, function contained.
