THE USAGE GAME OF WAYANG KATA IN VOCABULARIES LEARNING
OF MANDARIN FOR STUDENTS GRADE XI LANGUAGE MAJOR
STATE OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL WACHID HASYIM YEAR 2019/2020

Mandarin is one of the foreign language with its own difficulties. The
students will be easier to learn mandarin if they know more about the
vocabularies. That’s why need some a game which could help them to
handle it. Therefore,the researcher doing the research to figure out how
the game could the students learn mandarin easily.
As mentioned above, this purpose of this research is to explain if
the game wayang kata could affect the students in learning mandarin
easily. Also to descripe the students response in learning the mandarins
vocabularies. This research is actually called pre-experimental design in
form one group pretest-posttest desig. It was held among the 22 students
in grade XI-language major.
The result of the first and second observation between teachers
and students happened well and smooth. The score of the teachers in
both observation scored 88,15%. While the score of students in both
reservations scored 92,5%. And it clasified very well in likert well.
The result of pretest and posttest of data analysis in this research is
obtained from t-signification test with result =27,51 and db=21. Then look
at table value of level 5% with price =27,51 and db=21, hence known
that price =1,15 show t bigger than t table (27,51>1,15). This the
use of wayang kata game has a significant influence in learning Mandarin
vocabulary mastery of the students of grade XI state of senior high school
Wachid Hasyim academic year 2019/2020.
Based on the result of student response analysis, use the word of
puppet gives positives impact that is learning process Mandarin
vocabulary with procentage 75%, retention of material with procentage
82,95% and motivated the students in learning mandarin with procentage
76,13%. This makes word of puppet got very effective in mastering Mandarins Vocabulary.
