Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the use of smart tree learning media on the ability to recognize the concept of early childhood numbers. Early childhood is an important period for children because its development is very rapid. But not all early childhood are interested in what is taught. Many factors affect early childhood are not interested in what is taught, so it requires some appropriate methods to make early childhood interested and easily understand what is taught. The method used is using the literature review method. The results of the literature study were strengthened from a number of national and international journals resulting in a discussion about the use of smart tree learning media on the ability of early childhood to recognize the concept of numbers. Cognitive is one of the development concepts that must be developed in early childhood, developing aspects of cognitive development, one of which is by learning mathematics. The lack of interest in early childhood towards learning mathematics taught by teachers is one of the obstacles in the process of learning mathematics in early childhood. Learning media become a medium that will be useful for teachers when introducing the concept of numbers. Because the learning media of smart trees is uniquely shaped, colorful and can be used directly by children which makes children easily recognize the concept of numbers.
