PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA LIPUTAN BERBASIS LOOSE PARTS UNTUK MENGENALKAN LAMBANG BILANGAN ANAK USIA 4-5 TAHUN

DEVELOPMENT OF LOOSE PARTS-BASED COVERAGE MEDIA FOR INTRODUCING NUMBER SYMBOLS TO CHILDREN AGED 4-5 YEARS

Abstract

Media is a very important tool used for the teaching and learning process.Loosepartsare objects that can be found in the environment around us, easy to move, carry, combine, redesign, separate, and put back together in various ways.Children aged 4-5 years should be able to recognize symbols of numbers 1-10, but based on observations, there are still many children aged 4-5 who have not been able to recognize symbols of numbers 1-10. This study aims to produce a Loose parts-based circular circle media (LIPUTAN) which is valid and effective in introducing the symbols of numbers 1-10 to children aged 4-5 years. The method used in this article is Research and Development with a 4-D designDefine, Design, Development, Dissemination). Data was collected by means of questionnaires, and observations. The data analysis technique used validity test and media effectiveness test. The validity of the media meets the “Eligible” category based on a material expert score of 87.5% and a media expert score of 83.3%. based on the effectiveness test with an average of  90% obtained. The effectiveness of the media meets the criteria of “Effective”.Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the development of looseparts-based media coverage can stimulate the ability to introduce the symbols of numbers 1-10 in children aged 4-5 years. The children's response was very enthusiastic and happy in using looseparts-based media coverage. Children were also more active when playing media coverage and were declared valid and effective as a learning tool for early childhood children in introducing number symbols.
