This study aims to describe the impact or influence of parenting styles on children's self-confidence. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data analysis technique in this study used Miles and Huberman. Miles and Huberman said that the analysis and qualitative were carried out interactively and continued to completion, so that the data obtained was saturated. So that when the interview is analyzed and it is not satisfactory, the researcher will continue the question again until the required data is obtained. The subject of this research is early childhood in a kindergarten in Surabaya. This study uses observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection methods. The results of observations and interviews using data triangulation techniques show that single parent parenting is very influential on the low level of self-confidence in children which causes temporary emotional discomfort..
