Abstract

This research aims to determine the contribution of role-playing selling and buying in giving stimulation in knowing symbol of number skills to children aged 5-6 years. This research is using a quantitative approach with an ex-post-facto research type. The subject of this research is teachers who already implemented the role-playing selling and buying around 38 teachers. The data collection technique is using an online questionnaire, which is distributed using google form. The data analysis in this research is using simple linear regression analysis. Based on the calculation, it is found out that role-playing selling and buying has a positive impact on the knowing symbol of number skills, specifically on the counting things in order with the right quantity ability. It is shown that role-playing selling and buying contributes to knowing symbol skills in children aged 5-6 years. It is shown on the data of role-playing selling and buying that has relation proportion to the ability to know the symbol of number as much as 73,2%. This research's results aim to give an implication to the teacher in stimulating the skills of knowing the symbol of number in children aged 5-6 years. Playing the role of buying and selling can be applied by teachers as an alternative to optimize the ability to recognize number symbols for children aged 5-6 years.
