PENGEMBANGAN BUKU PANDUAN HOME ACTIVITY UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KEMANDIRIAN ANAK USIA 4 - 5 TAHUN

Abstract

This study aims to produce a product of guidebook of home activities improving children’s self-reliance skills of 4 - 5 years old. This is a guidebook to assists early childhood education teachers and parents in providing practical-life activities at school and home. This research is a Research and Development (RnD) research. This study uses the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluate) with One Group Design pretest-posttest to analyze data. The subjects of this study were 4 early childhood education teachers and 20 children in Sidoarjo country. This study uses structured interviews and questionnaires as a data collection method. The results of the analysis that from indicate a guide book is feasible to use with the percentage of material and media feasibility assessment 95% which is categorized as very valid or “excellent”. A trial product on 4 early childhood education teachers showed that the guide book was on categorized “good” with a percentage of 79,3%. That’s mean the guide book of home activity can used by teachers and parents for improving children’s self-reliance skills 4 -5 years old. The results for effective of guide book is a significant change of the postest pretest score on the child with the Wilcoxon test using the helper chart (Wtable =52) at 5%. The score rank is showing 23.54 That’s mean the Whitung table deduced were changes in pretest and postest.
