The Effect of Macro Role Play Method on Interpersonal Intelligence of Children 5-6 Years of Age
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze whether or not there was an effect of the macro role playing method on the interpersonal intelligence of children aged 5-6 years. The research method used is quantitative and the design used is quasi-experimental with a non-equivalent control group design. Data was collected using participant observation techniques. The sample in this study was the children of group B at Pancasila III Kindergarten in Surabaya, totaling 24 children. The collected data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U Test which was assisted by the IBM SPSS for Windows version 22 program. The results of data calculations using the Mann-Whitney U Test, with a significance level of 0.05 obtained the average (mean) data increase in post difference -the pre-test in the control group was 6.67 while in the experimental group it was 18.3. So, the results obtained from the hypothesis test are that the sig 2 tailed value is 0.00, which is smaller than the alpha significance limit value of 0.05 or (0.00 <0.05). It can be concluded that, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the data analysis, it was stated that there was an effect of the macro role playing method on the interpersonal intelligence of children aged 5-6 years
