Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of children's spatial visual intelligence in Pancasila III in Surabaya City. Therefore, the researcher aims to conduct this research to determine the effect of maze game media on visual-spatial intelligence of children aged 5-6 years at Pancasila III in Surabaya City. The number of samples used in this study were 24 children consisting of two classes, namely class B1 totaling 12 children and class B2 totaling 12 children. This study used a quantitative approach with the experimental design used, namely quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The hypothesis testing method used is the Mann Whitney U test. Based on the results of the analysis, it was obtained that the Mann Whitney U test value was 16 where this value was smaller than the Mann Whitney U table of 37 and a significance value of 0.001 was also obtained where the value was smaller than the significant level α 0.05, so it was decided that hypothesis 0 (H0) rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. So based on this decision it can be concluded that there is an influence of the maze game media on the spatial visual intelligence of children aged 5-6 years in Pancasila III in Surabaya City.
