THE DEVELOPMENT OF ANIMATED VIDEO BASED ON EAST JAWA LOCAL WISDOM “BESUT” TO INTRODUCE TRADITIONAL ART IN EARLY CHILDHOOD

Abstract

The values of local communities that have been passed down from generation to generation are known as "Local Wisdom", one of the local wisdom in East Java is Besut from Jombang and is played by a man. This development is designed to introduce traditional arts to early childhood. Based on the reality encountered in RA Insan Taqwa Simorejo Surabaya that children do not know much about traditional arts around. most children know that traditional art is traditional dance. The purpose of this study was to determine the development of animated video products based on East Java Besut local wisdom to introduce traditional arts in early childhood, and to determine the effectiveness of animated video development products based on East Java Besut local wisdom to introduce traditional arts in early childhood. This type of research is Reseacrh and Development or R&D using a 5-stage 21-step ADDIE development model developed (Branch, 2009) (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). The result of this study is to determine the knowledge ability of children after early childhood in introducing traditional arts through animated videos.
