Abstract

The development of religious and moral values through the provision of religious knowledge to children is an important undertaking. This research is motivated by the significance of teaching religious knowledge to young children. Therefore, the researcher utilized the Big Book Adab Makan as a medium to enhance understanding and absorption of religious values among children. In this study, an experiment was conducted using Children 4-5 years old in TK ABA Sidokumpul Paciran as the research subjects. A quantitative approach with a Quasi Experimental research design was employed. The results of the study indicate a significant influence of using the Big Book Adab Makan on the improvement of religious knowledge among children in Group A of TK ABA Sidokumpul. The difference between pre-test and post-test scores between the experimental and control groups, as demonstrated by the Independent Samples Test, shows a significant distinction. The average score of the experimental group is higher than that of the control group, with a significance level of Sig. (2-tailed) at 0.000 < 0.05. The experimental group scored 34.27, while the control group scored 27.18, indicating the rejection of the null hypothesis (Ho) and the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha). Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of the Big Book Adab Makan has a positive impact on enhancing the religious knowledge of children. This instructional medium assists children in understanding and applying religious values in their daily lives through an engaging and effective approach
