PENGARUH PERMAINAN ULAR TANGGA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERHITUNG PADA ANAK USIA 4-5 TAHUN
Abstract
This research is motivated by the importance of developing numeracy skills in children aged 4-5
years. Based on observations in the field, the numeracy skills of young children aged 4-5 years at the
Dharma Wanita PBB Sidoarjo Kindergarten still need to be developed. This can be seen in the child's
ability to name the number sequence 1-10, show the symbol for the number 1-10, make a sequence of
numbers 1-10 and calculate the addition of the number 1-10.
This research aims to prove the effect of the snakes and ladders game on the numeracy skills of
young children aged 4-5 years at tk Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo Kindergarten. This research method uses a
quantitative approach, with a pre-experimental research type, and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The
sample in the research was 15 children from group A-1 at the Dharma Wanita PBB Sidoarjo Kindergarten
whose numeracy skills still needed to be developed. Data collection techniques in this research used
observation and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique uses non-parametric statistics with
the Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test.
The results of the research show that there is an influence of the snakes and ladders game on the
numeracy skills of young children aged 4-5 years at the Dharma Wanita Pertama Kindergarten Sidoarjo.
This can be seen from the research results which show that Zcount = 3.40 is greater than Ztable = 2.13 with
a probability value of 5% (one-sided test) with a success rate of 95%, which means that there is an
