Meningkatkan Keterampilan Motorik Halus melalui Metode Bermain Peran Dalam Kegiatan Cooking Class
Abstract
Abstract
This study aims to improve the fine motor skills of children aged 3-4 years through role-playing in cooking class activities. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis and McTaggart model consisting of two cycles with stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 20 children aged 3-4 years registered at the Bunga Siwalan Surabaya Integrated PAUD Post (PPT). Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, documentation, and interviews, while data analysis techniques used quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of cycle I showed that children's fine motor skills increased by 75%, but there were still several obstacles such as lack of activity variation and less than optimal use of tools. Based on the reflection of cycle I, improvements were made in cycle II by providing variations in cooking ingredients and using tools that were more appropriate to children's abilities. The results of cycle II showed a significant increase with children's fine motor skills reaching 85%. Thus, role-playing in cooking class activities has proven to be an effective method for improving children's fine motor skills. It is recommended that educators apply this method more often so that learning becomes more interesting and enjoyable.
