Meningkatkan Kemampuan Anak Usia 3-4 Tahun Mengenal Huruf Konsonan dengan Kartu Huruf di PPT Al-Hidayah
Abstract
This study aims to determine and analyze the improvement in children's ability to recognize the consonant letter "b" before and after using letter card media. This research is a type of Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles, with each cycle including four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The study involved 15 children aged 3–4 years and was conducted at PPT Al-Hidayah Surabaya. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using a descriptive quantitative approach. The results of the study indicate that children's ability to recognize the consonant letter "b" before the implementation of the cycles was 44%. After the implementation of Cycle I, this ability increased to 69.3%. Following a reflection on Cycle I, it was determined that a continuation to Cycle II was necessary. After Cycle II was implemented, children's ability to recognize the consonant letter "b" showed a significantly increased to 85.2%. It can be concluded that the use of letter cards media is effective in improving the ability of 3-4 years old children at PPT Al-Hidayah Surabaya to regognize the consonant letter “b”.
