Abstract
The purpose of this study is to improve children's ability to hop on one foot using modified engkle at TK Tunas Sejati
Surabaya. The research method applied in this study is classroom action research (CAR), with the research subjects
consisting of 16 children from group B. The data analysis techniques used include observation and photo documentation.
The research problem formulated in this study is, "How can modified engkle improve children's ability to hop on one
foot in early childhood at TK Tunas Sejati Surabaya?". This study was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle
consisting of two meetings. In both the first and second cycles, the research focused on children's activities and the
improvement of their ability to hop on one foot using modified engkle. Data analysis was carried out using the
percentage method. The results of the study showed an improvement, where in the first cycle, 43,1% of children
actively participated, while their ability to hop on one foot reached 45,4%, which had not yet met the minimum mastery
standard of 75%. In the second cycle, the percentage of children who had not yet mastered the skill decreased to 17.2%,
while their ability to hop on one foot increased to 82.8%, surpassing the established mastery threshold. These findings
demonstrate that the use of modified engkle is effective in enhancing the ability to hop on one foot in early childhood at
TK Tunas Sejati Surabaya.
