Meningkatkan Kemampuan Kognitif Mengenal Geometri Melalui Media Busy Box Di Pos PAUD Terpadu Sari Surya

Abstract

The purpose of this studyis to improve children’s cognitive abilities in recorgnizing geometric shapes through the use of busy box learning media,in order to increase their interest in learning.This reserch is a classroom action reserchstudy.The subjects of the study were chilren aged 3-4 years at PPT Sari Surya.Consisting of 14 childrenThe data collection methods used were observation and documentation.The result of study indicate that introducing geometric shapes to children through busy box media ismore effective.This is evidenced by outcomes of the implemented actions.An improvement in children’s cognitive abilities wa observed.during the pre-cycle stage,the percentage of children able to recognize geometric shapes 31%.In the first cyle,this increased to 53%,categorized as”developing as expected”in the second cyle,the percentage increased further to 83%,categorized as “developing very well.”Based on these finding,it is recommended that teachers use busy box media in teaching,provide clear andstructured instruction,and motivate children to future enchance their cognitive development.
