The purpose of this study was to describe children's ability in early reading through Syboba (Busy Book Baca) media in grade 1C children at SDN Petemon X/358 Surabaya. The early reading ability of elementary school children in grade 1C at SDN Petemon X/358 Surabaya is still relatively low, in reading simple words and matching words with pictures has not been in accordance with the results expected by the teacher. This study was carried out with This is because during the learning process the teacher only uses reading books to read simple words and the teacher rarely uses interesting media. The methodology of this study uses Classroom Action Research which is designed in the form of a recurring cycle, each cycle consisting of 4 stages, namely planning, implementing actions, observation and reflection. This data collection technique uses observation techniques while the data analysis technique uses quantitative data analysis, to calculate the value or score generated from the observation data. The subjects of this study were 28 children in grade 1C at SDN Petemon x/358 Surabaya. Based on the results of the first cycle of research, children's early reading ability was 61.6%. In cycle II, children's early reading ability became 88.2%, an increase of 26.6% from the previous cycle and exceeding the success criteria of 71%. Based on research, Syboba (Busy Book Baca) can improve the early reading ability of class 1C children at SDN Petemon X/358 Surabaya.
