Peningkatan Kemampuan Kognitif Anak Usia 3-4 Tahun Dalam Mengenal Konsep Bilangan Melalui Permainan Memancing
Abstract
This classroom action research aims to determine the application of fishing games and increase children's cognitive
abilities in recognizing the concept of numbers 1-5 through fishing games. The research subjects were 14 children aged
3-4 years at PPT Pelita Hati Bunda Surabaya. The research was carried out in February 2025. This classroom action
research used the Kemmis and Mc Taggart methods, through two cycles consisting of cycle I and cycle II which included
planning, action, observation and reflection stages. Data was obtained based on the observation sheet of teacher
activities, children's activities, and children's cognitive abilities in recognizing the concept of numbers 1-5. The results
of this research in cycle I showed that teacher activity was 79,2%, then in cycle II it increased to 87.5%. Children's
activity in cycle I was 70,23% to 84,52% in cycle II. The average value of the ability to recognize the concept of numbers
1-5 in cycle I, the level of development obtained a percentage of 69.96%, while in cycle II it increased to 83,92%. Based
on data analysis, it can be concluded that there has been an increase in the ability to recognize the concept of numbers
1-5 in children aged 3-4 years at PPT Pelita Hati Bunda Surabaya through fishing games.
