Peningkatan Kemampuan Berbicara Anak Usia 4-5 tahun Melalui Permainan Komunikasi Balok (KOBALOK) di TK AL Manar Surabaya
Abstract
This study Speaking ability is one of the important aspects in the development of early childhood, especially in the age range of 4-5 years. This study aims to improve children's speaking ability through the block communication game (Kobalok) at Al Manar Kindergarten Surabaya. The research method used is classroom action research (PTK) with a qualitative and quantitative approach. The subjects of the study were class A children at Al Manar Kindergarten. Data were collected through observations of 3 groups (Great, smart, clever), and interviews, documentation, then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the Kobalok game was able to improve children's speaking skills, including in terms of vocabulary, clarity of pronunciation, and courage in expressing opinions. This study was conducted in 3 cycles where there was the implementation of cycle 1 and cycle 2 and cycle n (cycle 3) cycle I meeting 1 teacher and child ranged from 45.83% and 56.2%. Cycle I meeting 2 teachers and children ranged from 44.6% and 56.2%. Cycle I meeting 3 teachers and children ranged from 59.61% and 64.5%. In the next test in cycle II conducted on January 13, 2025, researchers conducted observations of children and teachers ranging from cycle I meeting 1: 70.56% where the total score was 10 and the calculation obtained was 74-79%. Teacher activity Cycle II meeting 2: ranging from 78% and child activity Cycle II meeting 72.07% success calculation 75% -80.6% in cycle meeting 3: 79.8% -82.07% where observation of children's activities on the ability to play kobalok 89.2% Interactive and fun play activities make children more motivated to communicate with peers and teachers. Thus, the Kobalok game can be used as an effective strategy in improving the speaking skills of early childhood children in the school environment.
