Meningkatkan Kemampuan Motorik Halus Teknik Kolase Bahan Loose Parts Anak Usia 3-4 Tahun di PPT Durian Genteng Surabaya
Abstract
This study aims to improve the fine motor skills of children aged 3–4 years through collage activities using loose parts materials at PPT Durian Genteng Surabaya. The background of this research is the low level of children’s fine motor abilities during learning activities, especially those requiring hand and finger coordination such as squeezing, pasting, and pinching. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 15 children in the playgroup class (ages 3–4 years). Data collection techniques included observation, documentation, and performance assessment. The collected data were analyzed descriptively using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results showed that the children's fine motor skills improved after implementing collage activities using loose parts materials. In the pre-action phase, only 57,5% of the children demonstrated development according to expectations. After the first cycle, this increased to 69,3%, and in the second cycle, 90,3% of the children showed very good development. These results indicate that collage techniques using loose parts are effective in enhancing fine motor skills in early childhood.
