Keterampilan Motorik Halus Anak Usia 3-4 Tahun Melalui Menggunting dengan Berbagai Media di PPT Azzahra Surabaya
Abstract
Cutting is one of the learning activities that can improve the fine motor skills of children aged 3–4 years. This activity aims to train eye-hand coordination, hand muscles, and concentration. Cutting is a form of stimulation that educators can develop to support the development of children's fine motor skills. The ability to cut can serve as an early preparation stage for writing, particularly in helping children learn how to hold a pencil. Cutting using various media such as cutting different types of paper or other materials along specific paths, lines, or shapes is an activity that promotes fine motor development. This research model refers to the Classroom Action Research (CAR) model by Kemmis and McTaggart, which is conducted in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data collection techniques used in this study include observation and documentation, specifically by directly observing cutting activities to enhance children's fine motor skills. The improvement in fine motor skills can be seen from the children's accuracy in cutting along patterned lines using different media. The development of fine motor skills in children at PPT Azzahra Surabaya can be seen in the average improvement: from an initial condition of 24%, increasing to 48% in the first cycle, and reaching 85% in the second cycle
