Language ability in children is a crucial aspect of early childhood development. Children aged 5–6 years are at a critical stage in their language development, where they begin to develop more complex conversational skills, comprehend longer texts, and start to recognize letters and symbols in written form. This study aims to improve the speaking ability of children aged 5–6 years through the use of letter cards in Group B at a kindergarten in Surabaya. For example, with the letters B - U - K - U, children were able to recognize and read the word. This can be seen from the average percentage of children's initial reading results in the class before and after the intervention. The conclusion of this study is that letter card media can improve the speaking ability of children aged 5–6 years.
