PENGARUH MELIPAT KERTAS ORIGAMI TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MELIPAT BENTUK DASAR PADA ANAK USIA 3-4 TAHUN
Abstract
This study examines the effect of origami paper folding on the ability to fold basic shapes in children aged 3–4 years,
motivated by the observation that children’s fine motor skills are still underdeveloped. The research involved
activities of folding basic shapes to enhance children's fine motor skills. The treatment was delivered through basic
shape folding activities, aimed at measuring whether there is an influence of basic origami paper folding on fine
motor skills in children aged 3–4 years at PPT Wijaya Kusuma. The study used a quantitative approach with a pre
experimental design, specifically the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population and sample consisted of 17
children from PPT Wijaya Kusuma. Data were collected through structured observation sheets and documentation.
The research instruments included recognition of basic geometric shapes (triangle, square) and precise paper folding.
The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test, which showed a significant difference between pretest and posttest
scores. This indicates that basic origami paper folding activities significantly affect the development of fine motor
skills in children at PPT Wijaya Kusuma.
