Meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus anak melalui kegiatan bermain playdough
Abstract
This study aims to improve fine motor skills in children aged 3–4 years through playdough activities at PPT Flamboyan Surabaya. The background of this research is the low level of fine motor skills observed in children, such as difficulty in squeezing, pinching, and shaping playdough. This research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The study subjects were 10 children in the playgroup class. Data collection techniques involved observation and documentation, and the data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. The results showed that playdough activities were effective in enhancing children’s fine motor skills, as evidenced by improvements in hand-eye coordination, finger strength, perseverance, and creativity. Therefore, playdough activities are recommended as an enjoyable and beneficial learning method for early childhood development.
