UPAYA PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR LOGIS PADA ANAK USIA 4-5 TAHUN DENGAN MEDIA BALOK DI TK PRW KECAMATAN TAMBAKSARI SURABAYA
Abstract
This study aims to improve the logical thinking skill of children aged 4-5 years through the use of block media in learning activities. Logical thinking skills in the study include classification, seriation, pattern recognition, understanding of cause-and-effect relationships, and comparison abilities. The background of this research is the low ability of children in performing classivication and processing simple information logically. This study employs Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects were 20 children. Data collection techniques included observation and documentation using observation sheets and assessment rubrics as instrument. Data were analuzed using quantitative descriptive methods with percentages. The results indicate that use of block media improves chidren’s logical thinking skills, particularly in classification and seriation, achieving the predetermined success criteria.
