UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERHITUNG ANAK USIA 5-6 TAHUN MELALUI MEDIA KANTONG ANGKA DI TK KUNCUP BUNGA SURABAYA
Abstract
This study aims to improve the numeracy skills of 5-6 year-old children through the use of number pockets at Kuncup Bunga Kindergarten, Surabaya. This rescarch was motivated by children's difficultics with numeracy, such as not being able to match objects with number symbols, say numbers secquentially, and write numbers backward. The study usod a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, implemented in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 15 children in Group B Data analysis was conducted descriptively and quantitatively with a success indicator of 75% of children reaching the Developed According to Expectations (BSH) and Very Well Developed (BSB) categories. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the use of number bag media is proven to be able to improve the counting skills of children aged 5-6 years at Kuncup Bunga Kindergarten Surabaya.
