Abstract

Vocabulary ability is one of the important aspects of children's language development, which affects their ability to read, write, and communicate. However, in practice many students are still found to have limitations in vocabulary mastery, especially at the elementary school level. This study aims to improve children's vocabulary through the application of active learning strategies. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with two cycles. The research subjects were kindergarten students. Data collection techniques included observation, tests, and documentation. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' vocabulary mastery from cycle I to cycle II. Thus, active learning strategies have been proven effective in improving children's vocabulary.
