UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOSA KATA ANAK MELALUI METODE PERMAINAN KARTU GAMBAR DI KELOMPOK A TK CEMPAKA PURI
Abstract
This study aims to improve children’s vocabulary skills through the implementation of the picture card game method in Group A of TK Cempaka Puri. The background of this study is based on the low vocabulary ability oLasf children, as seen from their limited ability to mention, understand, and use words in daily communication. Therefore, an engaging and appropriate learning method is needed according to the characteristics of early childhood. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was conducted in several cycles, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were children in Group A of TK Cempaka Puri. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, documentation, and assessment of children’s development. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the picture card game method can improve children’s vocabulary skills. This is evidenced by the improvement in children’s ability to recognize, mention, and use vocabulary better than before the implementation of the action. Thus, the picture card game method is effective as an alternative learning approach to enhance early childhood language development.
