Abstract

This study aims to improve the instillation of Islamic values ​​in early childhood through habituation activities at the Al-Amien Tegal Prenduan Early Childhood Education Center (PAUD) in Pruan District, Sumenep Regency. Islamic values ​​constitute a spiritual foundation involving the formation of faith (aqidah), worship (worship), and noble morals, which are crucial for children's character development, particularly in fostering a religious and polite personality from an early age. The method used in this study was habituation activities carried out in a structured, routine, and repeated manner through the guidance and role model of teachers. Data were obtained through direct observation of children's ability to practice daily prayers, prayer procedures, and the application of good manners in social interactions at school. The results of the study indicate that consistent habituation activities can increase children's spiritual awareness, discipline in worship, and skills in internalizing Islamic values ​​into daily behavior. Children appeared more enthusiastic, independent, and demonstrated positive behavioral changes compared to before the intervention. Based on these results, it can be concluded that habituation activities are effective in fostering Islamic values ​​in early childhood. Therefore, it is recommended that habituation strategies be implemented continuously in the Early Childhood Education (PAUD) curriculum as the primary method for supporting the strengthening of children's religious character.
