IMPLEMENTATION OF PLAYDOUGH ACTIVITIES TO IMPROVE FINE MOTOR SKILLS OF 4-5 YEAR-OLD CHILDREN AT AL-AMIEN KINDERGARTEN, SUMENEP

Abstract

Fine motor development is the development of body movements that use small muscles (fine muscles). Currently, delays in fine motor development are common in early childhood due to a lack of opportunities for children to learn motor skills, excessive parental protection, and a lack of stimulation, resulting in underdeveloped fine motor skills, especially in cutting. Plasticine/playdough is one educational play medium. Plasticine/playdough has a soft texture, making it easy to shape into the desired shape. With this playdough/playdough, it is hoped that children's fine motor skills, especially cutting, will develop well. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK), which was conducted in two cycles at TKS AL-AMIEN SUMENEP. Data analysis techniques from the research, which was conducted over two cycles, showed that 80% of children's fine motor skills developed well.
