UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBEDAKAN BENTUK HURUF MELALUI MEDIA KARTU HURUF PADA KELOMPOK B DI TK PEMBANGUNAN SURABAYA
Abstract
This study was motivated by the low ability of children to distinguish letter shapes in Group B at TK Pembangunan Surabaya. The purpose of this study was to improve children's ability to distinguish letter shapes through letter card media. This research employeda Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles involving 9 children in Group B. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through observation and documentation and analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. The results showed an improvement in children's ability to distinguish letter shapes. Initially, most children had difficulty recognizing differences among letter forms. After the implementation of letter card media, learning achievement improved in the first cycle and increased further in the second cycle. Therefore, letter card media proved effective in enhancing the ability of Group B children at TK Pembangunan Surabaya to distinguish letter shapes.
