PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN BERBICARA MELALUI BERCERITA DENGAN BONEKA JARI PADA ANAK KELOMPOK A DI TK FLAMBOYAN PLATUK,SURABAYA
Abstract
Speaking ability is one of the essential aspects of early childhood language development. However, in practice, many children still lack confidence in speaking, have difficulty expressing ideas, and possess limited vocabulary. This study aims to improve children's speaking skills through storytelling activities using finger puppets in Group A at TK Flamboyan Platuk Surabaya. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 22 children. Data collection techniques included observation, documentation, and speaking skill assessments. The results showed that storytelling using finger puppets effectively improved children's speaking abilities. In the first cycle, children's speaking ability reached 65% (developing as expected), and it increased to 85% (very well developed) in the second cycle. Therefore, it can be concluded that storytelling activities using finger puppets are effective in improving early childhood speaking skills.
