Pengaruh Penggunaan Media Buku Cerita Interaktif Berbasis Google Sites Terhadap Kemampuan Mengenal Warna Pada Anak Usia 4–5 Tahun
Abstract
This study aimed to determine the effect of using Google Sites-based interactive storybook media on the color recognition ability of children aged 4–5 years at TK Adni Islamic English School. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically a non-equivalent control group design. The research participants consisted of 29 children, comprising 15 children in the experimental group and 14 children in the control group. Data were collected through observation using a Guttman scale instrument. The instrument had been validated by experts and was found to be valid and reliable for use in this study. Data were analyzed using the Mann–Whitney U Test with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics. The results showed that the Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value was 0.001, which was lower than 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the experimental and control groups and that the research hypothesis was accepted. In addition, children who learned through Google Sites-based interactive storybook media demonstrated better abilities in recognizing, differentiating, and classifying colors. Thus, it can be concluded that Google Sites-based interactive storybook media is effective in improving the color recognition ability of children aged 4–5 years. This media can be used as an innovative and engaging learning alternative for introducing colors in early childhood education. Future studies are recommended to develop interactive learning media targeting other aspects of child development.
