DAMPAK IMPLEMENTASI PLAYWORLDS TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN LITERASI BUDAYA PADA ANAK USIA 4-5 TAHUN
Abstract
This study aims to determine the impact of Playworlds implementation on cultural literacy skills in children aged 4–5 years. The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design in the form of a nonequivalent control group design, dividing participants into a treatment group and a control group. Data collection was conducted through observation and documentation, using a performance test instrument to measure children's cultural literacy skills. The participants in this study were A Class of TK Permata, Surabaya, and A Class of TK Cempaka, Surabaya. Data were processed using SPSS 2025 with the Mann-Whitney U hypothesis test. The results of the analysis indicate an improvement in cultural literacy skills through the implementation of Playworlds, as evidenced by the treatment group's p-value of 0.000, while the control group recorded a p-value of 0.001, both of which fall below the significance threshold of 0.05. Therefore, the null hypothesis (H₀), which states that there is no difference between the pretest and posttest, is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) is accepted.
