PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN ANAK USIA 3-4 TAHUN MENGENAL KONSEP BILANGAN 1-5 MELALUI PERMAINAN MATEMATIKA MONTESSORI DI PPT SETIYO LANGGENG SURABAYA

Abstract

Kemampuan mengenal konsep bilangan pada anak usia 3-4 tahun di PPT Setiyo Langgeng masihrelatif rendah. Permasalahan ini disebabkan karena kegiatan belajar mengajar lebih banyak menggunakanmetode konvensional/ceramah, sehingga kurang menarik perhatian anak. Permainan matematikaMontessori merupakan salah cara yang dapat digunakan dalam pengenalan konsep bilangan 1-5. Tujuandari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan anak mengenal konsep bilanganmelalui permainan matematika Montessori di PPT Setiyo Langgeng Surabaya.Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dirancang dalam bentuksiklus berulang. Setiap siklus terdiri atas 4 tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, danrefleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak usia 3-4 tahun berjumlah 15 anak. Teknik pengumpulandatanya menggunakan observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis datanya menggunakan statistikdeskriptif.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pada siklus I menunjukkan bahwa hasil kemampuan anak mengenalkonsep bilangan mencapai 61%. Hasil persentase belum sesuai dengan kriteria tingkat pencapaianperkembangan anak, sehingga penelitian berlanjut pada siklus II. Hasil penelitian pada siklus IImengalami peningkatan sebesar 86,5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwapermainan matematika Montessori dapat meningkatkan kemampuan anak usia 3-4 tahun dalam mengenalkonsep bilangan 1-5 di PPT Setiyo Langgeng Surabaya.

ABSTRACT

The ability to recognized the numbers concept to early aged children at PPT Setyo Langgeng is underaverage. These problem are caused by the learning activity are still using conventional method whichmakes no attention of the children. The montessori mathematics method are one of way to teach thechildren about numbers concept 1-5. The purpose of this research are to find out the increase of theability to recognized the ability to recognized the numbers concept with montessori methodThis research are using class action method that design with repeating cycle form which has 4 steps;planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research are children with 3-4 age thatconsist of15 children. The collecting data technique are using the observation and documentationtechnique, while analysis technique are using the statictical and descriptif methodBased on the first cycle, the result of the increase to recognized the numbers concept reached 61%.Because the result still not reached the criteria, so we continue ton the second cycle. On the second cycle,the result of the increase to recognized the numbers concept ability are increase to 86,5% and we canassumed this resarch are succesfull research and to sum up, we can increase the ability to recognized thenumbers ability through the montessori mathematics method
