MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENGENAL KONSEP BILANGAN MELALUI MEDIA GAMBAR PADA KELOMPOK B DI TK NURUL HUDA SURABAYA

Abstract

Gambar pada dasarnya membantu mendorong para siswa untuk dapat membangkitkan minatnya pada pelajaran. Kemampuan kognitif dalam mengenal konsep bilangan melalui media gambar di TK Nurul Huda Surabaya masih kurang. Permasalahan ini disebabkan kegiatan pembelajaran lebih banyak menngunakan metode ceramah. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengenalkan konsep bilangan melalui media gambar merupakan cara yang tepat dalam mengenalkan konsep bilangan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal konsep bilangan anak dengan menggunakan media gambar di TK Nurul Huda Surabaya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri atas 2 siklus, setiap siklusnya terdiri atas 4 tahap, yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok B di TK Nurul Huda Surabaya berjumlah 20 anak yang terdiri atas 5 anak laki-laki dan 15 anak perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal konsep bilangan melalui media gambar pada siklus I diperoleh hasil 50%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kriteria pencapaian tingkat perkembangan anak belum tercapai, maka penelitian ini berlanjut pada siklus II. Pada siklus II peningkatan kemampuan mengenal konsep bilangan anak mencapai 75%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media gambar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal konsep bilangan anak di TK Nurul Huda Surabaya.

Abstract

Picture basically will help to stimulate children to increase their interest to learning. The cognitif ability to recognized the concept of number through picture as the media at TK Nurul Huda Surabaya still low. This is caused by the learning activity still using the old method to teach, the speech method. To increase it, the picture method is the best way to introducing the numeric concept. The purpose of this research is to increase the ability to recognized the numeric concept on children through picture media at TK Nurul Huda Surabaya.  This research are using the class action method that designed with 2 cyle which every cycle has 4 steps ; planning, action, observation and reflection. The subject of this research are children of play group B at TK Nurul Huda Surabaya that consist of 20 children, 5 boys and 15 girls. The colleting data technique are using the observation and documentation method while the analysis data technique are using the statictical and description method.  Based from the analysisi result to increase the ability to recognized the numeric concept through picture media from the first cyle are 50%. This is means that the criteria still not reached yet, therefore, the reasarch are continue to the second cyle. On the second cyle, the result shows increase that 75% are the increase of the ability to recoqnized the numeric concept through picture media. Therefore, we can conclude it as a succesfull research, and we can understand that trough the picture media, we can increase the ability to recognized the numeric concept on children at TK Nurul Huda Surabaya.
