MENINGKATKAN RASA PERCAYA DIRI ANAK MELALUI CERITA BERGAMBAR PADA KELOMPOK A DI TK MUSLIMAT SIDOARJO

Abstract

Taman Kanak-kanak adalah salah satu bentuk satuan pendidikan anak usia dini pada jalur pendidikan formal yang menyelenggarakan program pendidikan bagi anak usia 4-6 tahun yang merupakan masa peka bagi anak untuk meletakkan dasar pertama dalam mengembangkan kemampuan fisik, kognitif, bahasa, sosial emosional, konsep diri, disiplin, kemandirian, seni, moral dan nilai-nilai agama (Depdiknas, 2005:2). Tidak semua anak mampu untuk maju ke depan kelas dan menceritakan kembali cerita yang telah disampaikan oleh guru. Anak terlihat masih kesulitan untuk memahami tikoh-tokoh yang ada dalam cerita, isi cerita, apalagi pesan-pesan yang disampaikan dalam cerita sehingga anak menjadi takut dan kurang percaya diri ketika disuruh untuk menceritakan kembali cerita di depan kelas, oleh karena itu cerita bergambar menjadi salah satu media yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan rasa percaya diri anak pada kelompok A di TK Muslimat Sidoarjo melalui media cerita bergambar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana metode cerita bergambar mampu meningkatkan rasa percaya diri anak di TK Muslimat Desa Kramat Jegu Sidoarjo.

Jenis penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian PTK, yang terdiri atas 2 siklus, setiap siklus terdiri atas 4 tahap, yaitu perencanaan, observasi, pelaksanaan, refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok A TK Muslimat Desa Kramat Jegu Sidoarjo yang berjumlah 25 anak. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan observasi dan dokumentasi, dan analisis datanya adalah menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif.

Hasil penelitian pada siklus I  rasa percaya diri anak sebesar 40 %, hal ini belum sesuai dengan kriteria pencapaian tingkat perkembangan anak, untuk itu penelitian ini dilanjutkan pada siklus II. Hasil penelitian pada siklus II, rasa percaya diri anak sebesar 76 %, hal ini sesuai dengan kriteria pencapaian tingkat perkembangan anak. Kesimpulan penelitian ini pada siklus I rasa percaya diri anak sebesar 40 % dan pada siklus II tingkat pencapaian sebesar 76 %, hal ini sesuai dengan kriteria pencapaian tingkat perkembangan anak.

Abstract

Kindergarten is a form of early childhood education units in the formal education that organizes educational programs for children aged 4-6 years which is a sensitive period for the child to lay the first foundation in developing physical abilities, cognitive, language, social, emotional, self-concept, self-discipline, self-reliance, art, moral and religious values ​​(Depdiknas, 2005:2). Not all children are able to come forward and tell the back story that was submitted by the teacher. Children look is still difficult to understand tikoh the existing characters in the story, the plot, especially the messages conveyed in the story so that the child becomes fearful and less confident when asked to retell the story in front of the class, therefore be wrong picture story one medium that is used to increase the child's confidence in group A in kindergarten through media Moslem Sidoarjo picture story. The purpose of this study was to determine how the picture story method can improve confidence in kindergarten children Kramat Jegu Moslem village of Sidoarjo.

This research is a kind of research PTK, which consists of two cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely planning, observation, implementation, reflection. The subjects were a group of kindergarten children Kramat Jegu Moslem village of Sidoarjo, amounting to 25 children. Research data collection using observation and documentation, and data analysis is using descriptive statistical analysis.

The results of the study in the first cycle child's confidence by 40%, it is not in accordance with the criteria for the achievement levels of child development, this study continued for the second cycle. The results of the study in the second cycle, child's confidence by 76%, this is in accordance with the criteria of the achievement level of the child's development. The conclusion of this study in the first cycle child's confidence by 40% and the second cycle level of achievement by 76%, this is in accordance with the criteria of the achievement level of the child's development.
