MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF ANAK MENGENAL BILANGAN MELALUI MEDIA KARTU ANGKA KELOMPOK A DI TK KARYA BHAKTI KECAMATAN SUKOMANUNGGAL SURABAYA

Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini sangat membutuhkan sumber belajar yaitu media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini memilikipermasalahan yaitu apakah media kartu angka dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif anak mengenal bilangandari permasalahan tersebut peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam2 siklus yaitu siklus I dan II. Aspek yang diteliti pada siklus ini adalah (1) saat bermain kartu anak dapat menyebuturutan bilangan (2) saat bermain kartu anak dapat membedakan 2 kumpulan benda yang lebih banyak, lebih sedikit,sama dan tidak sama, (3) saat bermain kartu anak dapat membuat urutan bilangan. Dari hasil penelitian tindakankelas dengan dua siklus diperoleh data nilai rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan kognitif anak mengenal bilangan 1-10pada siklus I adalah anak dapat menyebutkan urutan 1-10 sebanyak 20% dan siklus II 75%. Sedangkan dalammembedakan 2 kumpulan benda yang sama dan tidak sama jumlahnya siklus I 25% dan siklus II 70%, berikutnyakemampuan anak dalam membuat urutan bilangan dengan kartu angka 1-10 pada siklus I 25% dan siklus II 75%.Dari hasil siklus I dan siklus II maka dapat disimpulkan adanya peningkatan perkembangan kemampuan kognitifmengenal bilangan pada TK Karya Bakti kelompok A Kecamatan Sukomanunggal Surabaya dengan menggunakanmedia kartu angka melalui permainan yang menarik bagi anak.

Abstract

Young learners educational process needs learning sources, that is a learning media. The research problem in thisresearch is whether or not numeric card media can improve children’s cognitive skill in recognizing numbers. Themethod used in this research was a classroom action research which was conducted in two cycles. The aspectswhich were examined in this research were, 1) children can state the numbers when they were playing the game, 2)the children can differ the 2 different group things, bigger, smaller, similar, not similar, 3) the children can arrangethe number in an order when they were playing a game. Based on the classroom action research, in the first cyclethere are 20% children who can state the number 1-10 in an order, and 75% children in the second cycle who canstate the number 1-10 in an order. In differing two groups of things, which are similar and different, the result in thefirst cycle is 25% and 70% in the second cycle. The children’s skill in arranging the number by using numeric media1-10 in the first cycle is 25% and 75% in the second cycle. Based on the first and second cycle, it can be concludedthat there is an improvement of cognitive skill in recognizing the numbers at A group of Karya Bhakti kindergartenSukomanunggal Surabaya by using numeric card media through an interesting game for the children.
