ANALISIS METAFORA ONTOLOGIS PADA LIRIK LAGU DALAM ALBUM THE BOOK 2 ザ・ブック・ツー KARYA YOASOBI

Abstrak

This study investigates the types and cognitive functions of ontological metaphors in Yoasobi’s album The Book 2. Employing a descriptive qualitative design and documentation method, this research analyzes how these metaphors represent characters' emotions based on the frameworks of Lakoff and Johnson, and Kövecses. The results revealed 36 ontological metaphors: 15 container metaphors, 12 personifications, and 9 entity metaphors. Furthermore, 27 data points focus on the behavioral response to emotion, while 9 data points focus on both cause and response. In conclusion, Yoasobi predominantly utilizes entities as conceptualizations to convey emotion, primarily focusing on behavioral responses. These metaphors successfully map complex emotional experiences into concrete imagery, enabling listeners to easily conceptualize the characters' feelings.
