KONFLIK BATIN TOKOH CYRIL DALAM FILM DAS SCHÖNSTE MÄDCHEN DER WELT KARYA ARON LEHMANN

Abstract

Film contains of intrinsic and extrinsic approach as the same as the literary work in common. Along with this similarity in literary work, film also has internal and external conflict in its composition of a story. This study aims to research the inner conflict of a literary work which been experienced by Cyril in film Das schönste Mädchen der Welt. Cyril, a prude girl that intended to get near to Roxi, exploits Rick, her classmate, to approach Roxi. Based on that occurence, the investigated cases cover 1) how is the structure of Cyril’s inner conflict in film Das schönste Mädchen der Welt by Aron Lehmann?, 2)  how is Cyril’s inner conflict resolved in film Das schönste Mädchen der Welt by Aron Lehmann?. This research is a qualitative descriptive study which explains in detail the results of the analysis of the conflict structure and the form of inner conflict resolution of Cyril's character in the film Das schönste Mädchen der Welt by Aron Lehmann. The data were analyzed using the theory of inner conflict and Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory. From the analysis it can be concluded, Cyril often experiences approach-avoidance conflict and avoidance-avoidance conflict and ego imbalance that causes him to experience inner conflict or internal conflict, even though he can resolve inner conflicts that experienced.
