entrenched in his family in the film Nur Eine Frau. This research is a descriptive qualitative study based on the power
feminism theory of Naomi Wolf, which written in her book Fire with Fire in 1993, as the main basis in analyzing the
efforts of the main character in fighting against all forms of repression that come from her family. This film shows the
reality of the life of a German woman from a family of Turkish descent who still holds close to cultural values which
ultimately results to a repressive attitude towards the main female character. The film Nur Eine Frau directed by Sherry
Hormann was chosen as the object of study because it is relevant to the theme of which will be discussed, namely the
female resistance. Sherry Hormann is also a female director who often raise the issue of feminism in any movies she
directed. There are seven data in the form of dialogues or words that can be analyzed, so that it can be concluded that the
forms of resistance carried out by the main character based on the perspective of Naomi Wolf's power feminism are: (1)
the courage of the main character in determining her own way of life; (2) being firm in what she has chosen; (3) being
bold in order to speak out her opinion and also (4) independence resistance is reflected in her attitude.
