PERKEMBANGAN KEPRIBADIAN TOKOH CYRIL DALAM FILM DAS SCHӦNSTE MÄDCHEN DER WELT

Abstract

Each individual has a different personality. Likewise, the personality of the characters in a literary work, which is influenced by the environment or family environment. As well as the personality of the character Cyril in the film the most beautiful girl in the world, which is influenced by his personality at the time of childhood in the neighborhood. The personality of the character Cyril in the film shows a discrepancy with the period of personality development in general, such as insecurity, unwillingness to act and low selfesteem that occurs in the school environment. Related to this problem, the theory that can be used to see the various personality development experienced by Cyril figures is the theory of personality development of Erikson's Social Psychology. Therefore, this study aims to describe the personality development of Cyril figures in terms of the theory of personality development of Erikson's Social Psychology. The texts in the film Das schönste Mädchen der Welt used as research data obtained through nonpartispan observation data collection techniques. The development of personality Erikson's social psychology is not only used as a theory but also as an analytical technique. The results of the study using the theory of Social Psychology Erikson showed that the personality passed by Cyril entered into 6 stages, namely Trust vs Mistrust, Autonomy vs Shame and Doubt, Initiative vs Guilt, Involving industry (competence) vs Inferiority, Identity vs Role confusion and Intimacy vs Isolation. Cyril showed traits of failure in the two initial stages and showed traits of success in the 4 final stages.
