MAKNA UNGKAPAN METAFORIS LIRIK LAGU DALAM ALBUM FEELINGS TAHUN 2022

Abstract

This research is a descriptive qualitative research that aims to describe the types of metaphors and the meaning of metaphorical expressions contained in the album Feelings Tahun 2022 by Kayef. Metaphors are used in song lyrics to beautify the lyrics, to find out the meaning in song lyrics containing metaphors, it is necessary to know the meaning of metaphorical expressions. This research uses Lakoff and Johnson's conceptual metaphor theory by using listening and note-taking techniques. The data sources of this research are 6 Liebe-themed songs on the album Feelings in 2022 by Kayef, namely Weisswein x Sprite, Paradise, Demons, Deine Liebe, Bessere Ich, and Beton. The data in this study are words, phrases, and
arrays on the Feelings 2022 album. The data is analyzed by classifying the corpus dara based on Lakoff and Johnson's theory. The result of this research shows that there are three types of metaphors found in the Feelings album, namely structural, ontological and orientational. This research is expected to be useful for the development of theory and analysis of types of metaphors and metaphorical expressions in semantic studies.
