KOMISIF TIDAK LANGSUNG DALAM FILM MEIN WILDES HERZ KARYA HANNO OLDERDISSEN

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of indirect commissive speech acts and their commissive functions in the movie Mein Wildes Herz based on George Yule’s Theory. This research is a qualitative research with note-taking and documentation methods. The data source used in this research is the film Mein Wildes Herz and the reaserch data is taken form the dialog of the characters in the film. The data used is a sentence that contains an indirect commissive function. The data is analyzed through the stages of data collection, data classification, data description, and conclusion drawing. The researcher found 21 utterances that can be classified into 4 commissive forms based on the constituent clauses and 3 different commissive functions. The results of this study conclude that a number of indirect commissive data forms can be classified into 4 types of sentences, namely 13 Hauptsatz-type sentences, 5 Hauptsatz-Hauptsatz-type sentences, 2 Hauptsatz Nebensatz-type sentences, and 1 Nebensatz-Hauptsatz-type sentence. The results of the following research regarding the commissive function, 3 types of commissive functions were found, namely 15 utterances with the commissive function of promise, 5 utterances with the commissive function of rejection, and 1 utterance with the commissive function of threat. However, this study did not find data with the commissive function of pledge.
