PEMBENTUKAN KOMPOSITA PADA NEOLOGISME DALAM INSTAGRAM @FRITTENWERK
Abstract
The development of social media, particularly Instagram, has encouraged the emergence of neologisms as a creative communication strategy. Neologisms arise in response to societal changes and human thought, and serve as lexical representations of various phenomena in everyday life. One social media account that utilizes this strategy is the Instagram account @frittenwerk. This study aims to describe the formation of compound words in neologisms found in posts on the @frittenwerk Instagram account from June 2024 to January 2025. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method. The data are analyzed using the theory of neologisms by Kinne, as well as the word-formation theory by Fleischer and Barz. The results show that all neologisms formed through compounding fall under the category of Neulexeme. The neologisms function as tools for creative communication and have received acceptance from social media users, as evidenced by the responses in the comment sections. This study contributes to linguistic research, particularly in understanding the formation of new words on social media and the development of language in the digital age.
