This research aims to describe the forms of anxiety experienced by the main character in the film Buba directed by Arne Feldhusen. Buba is portrayed as having experienced childhood trauma that shapes his perception of happiness and suffering. The study applies a literary psychology approach using Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theory, particularly the personality structure comprising the id, ego, and superego. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data derived from dialogues, narratives, and scenes that indicate signs of anxiety. The analysis technique involves identifying, classifying, and interpreting the types of anxiety based on Freud’s three categories: realistic, neurotic, and moral anxiety. The findings show that Buba experiences all three forms. Realistic anxiety arises from external threats, neurotic anxiety from internal conflict between the id and ego, and moral anxiety due to the superego’s pressure that induces guilt. The tension among these personality structures influences Buba’s behavior and drives decisions rooted in fear and the rejection of happiness.
