Abstract

Used cooking oil waste is a serious problem at the household level that has a negative impact on the environment and health. On the other hand, this waste has economic potential if it is processed into value added products. This program aims to empower the PKK women's group in Kraton Village, Magetan, by providing solutions to this problem through workshops on making aromatherapy candles. This activity uses participatory education and practice-based training (learning by doing) methods. The results of the activity show significant success: there was an increase in participants' awareness of the dangers of waste, participants successfully mastered the skills to make good quality candles, and initiatives and entrepreneurial ideas emerged among the participants. The program concluded that the participatory workshop model is highly effective in transforming waste into productive assets while fostering creative economic potential at the community level. This success serves as a model for holistic empowerment that integrates environmental, social, and economic solutions.
